Our team of dedicated HACCP Certified and Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals have developed our Food Safety Plan in accordance with The FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Our plan starts with a solid HACCP Plan and encompasses policies such as GMP/GDP, Food Defense, Recall, Allergen Management, Approved Vendor and Sanitation policies to name just a few.
At Fischer Foods all employees are trained in their role in our Food Safety Plan at hiring and receive retraining annually and in the event of a change to our plan as Fischer Foods strives for continuous improvement.
Fischer Foods plays an integral role for our customers in the storage and distribution segment of the food chain, and as such all Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) products are monitored closely through every step of this process. From thorough inspection upon arrival to our facility, 24/7 temperature monitoring while stored at our facility to delivery of our products in dual compartment vehicles equipped with up to the second temperature monitoring equipment. Fischer Foods ensures strict adherence to the proper cold chain custody handling of our products through their delivery to our customers.
